Dragon Juniors at Renegades T20

The Dragon Juniors enjoyed their first visit to Etihad Stadium on December 22 for the inaugural Renegades T20 Match as part of their Club Membership Package. The group included two Vietnamese, four Indians, a Filipino, and four Anglo-Aussies many of whom hadn’t been to a cricket match before. Thanks to parents Bill Field, Darren Andrews and our new Good Cricket Allround intern for 2012 Jesse Schram.

Had fun commentating and umpiring the Laneway Cricket local Derby headed up by Dirk Nannes for the Renegades and James Pattinson for the Stars. Julie Hunter was also present for the VicSpirit. Great work Stephanie Newton from Cricket Victoria pulling it together and Ray Kuffer for umpiring.

‘Tons of Runs’ is a remarkable research and publishing achievement that documents centuries from Australians in all forms of competitive cricket from the 1850′s until 2007/8. It includes photos, essays, articles and cricketers’ narrations with a heavy emphasis upon grass roots participation.

Credo Parkies vs. Outer East Trailblazers 2011

The Credo Parkies commenced their Reclink Australia Twenty20 season for the Clem Briggs Jnr Memorial Trophy at Lilydale yesterday. Outer East Trailblazers made 168 off their 20 overs with Gavin the best of the bowlers with 2/23. Alan made a quickfire 17 with the bat creating a solid foundation before Credo Parkies crashed to be bowled out for 50.
